Acer shirasawanum ‘Microphyllum’ is a very nice maple that has small rounded leaves like the species. The orbicular leaves are deep green and somewhat shiny. ‘Microphyllum’ is hardy and a strong grower. Fall colors are bright oranges and reds. The plant forms a small tree to 18′.
