Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Coralliformis' is a slow-growing, bushy selection of Hinoki cypress with with curled, twisted, intertwining branches and thread-like, glossy-green foliage that is often fasciated at the tips. This plant resembles Ch. obtusa 'Lycopoides' but is less coarse in foliage structure and smaller in stature. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 3 feet (1 m) tall and wide, an annual rate of growth of 3 to 4 inches (7.5 - 10 cm).
