• Description

Sometimes listed as ‘Gnom’, this tiny Mugo Pine cultivar gained an “e” when it emigrated stateside from its native Europe. In a species known for producing rock stars of the rock garden, ‘Gnome’ is a slow-growing standout. Eventually maturing into a dense, rounded tuft of Alpine goodness, ‘Gnome’ grows 2-3” per year and matures at about 3-4’ tall and wide after several decades. Few spots are too small for this mighty mugo. Zone 3.
