Japanese clethra, is a small tree which typically grows 10-20' tall a with long drooping fragrant white flowers mid to late summer, and interesting bark, The flowers are an excellent nectar source.  The dark green leaves turn bright yellow in the fall . and serrated, glossy, dark green leaves which turn bright yellow (sometimes red) in autumn.
