Mirte is a Japanese Maple with an upright growth habit, and unusual coloring with it's heavily toothed  leaves and green veins. Base color shifts from red in the spring to bronze in the summer, to a mix of red/yellow/orange in the fall.  It will reach 12 plus ft at 10 years
