A vigorous-growing accent tree with curiously curled leaves and a beautiful vase-shaped growth habit. 'Okushimo' Japanese Maple has attractive green foliage which emerges chartreuse in spring. The small lobed palm-shaped leaves are ornamentally significant and turn an outstanding gold in the fall. It features subtle corymbs of red flowers rising above the foliage in mid spring before the leaves. It produces red samaras from early to mid fall. The rough gray bark and red branches add an interesting dimension to the landscape.
