'Oshu shidare'  is a medium sized Japanese maple with striking color and and an upright but weeping form. Foliage begins as bright pink, transitioning to mauve then to green as the season progresses. Fall foliage is a brilliant crimson. . This tree may get 6-7ft high in 10 years with about an equal spread.
