Shishio Improved is a shrubby Japanese Maple with excellent red color in the spring.   It matures 6-9 ft tall (occasionally up to 13 ft in ideal conditions)Leaves emerge in spring in a bright and showy crimson red. Leaves change to a rich green by summer. Fall colors are shades of red and orange.
