    Sometimes referred to as Tiger Maple, 'Toyama nishiki' is a variegated weeping Japanese maple that is quite beautiful. The lacy spring growth has bright pink and white irregular variegation. transitioning to white and green over the summer. Any branches displaying no variegation should be pruned out. Fall is bright yellow to orange, possibly reddish pink. Height may reach 3 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years.  Plant in an area protected from hot summer sun to prevent scorching.
