Lovely form on the ironwood tree that has an upright, columnar habit. This slow-grower has glossy green foliage that emerges with a burgundy colored edging. This changes to solid green throughout the growing season, followed by an array of colors from yellow to purple and red in the fall. Spidery looking red flowers bloom on bare branches in late winter and last into the spring. Even before the unique blooms appear, the patchwork of gray and tan bark on mature specimens makes this a desirable tree. Urban and drought tolerant.
