A robust, narrowly upright, naturally multi-stemmed, tree-form of Hinoki cypress with dense branching that grows with a slight arch, and attractive deep, emerald-green foliage. It is superficially similar to C. obtusa 'Nana Gracilis'. It is reported to retain good color in winter in colder climates where other Cupressaceae revert to bronze. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 10 to 15 feet (3 - 5 m) tall and half as wide, an annual growth rate of 1 to 1.5 feet (30 - 45 cm).
