    Yucca filamentosa,is technically a virtually stemless broadleaf evergreen shrub that is native to beaches of the south coast, and has extended its range into New England. The sword shaped leaves are deer proof with 5-8 ft white flower stalks in summer. It is a useful addition to dry areas and is very tolerant of salt runoff.

    ‘Color Guard’ is a gold-centered variegated form. It features leaves with green margins and striking creamy gold centers. Long filamentous curly white threads are found along the leaf margins..
